O πρώην bodybuilder Βίκτορ Ρίτσαρντς (Victor Richards) επιτέθηκε στον πρόεδρο της NPC και IFBB Pro League, Jim Manion, (Δείτε εδώ ο γιόκας του Manion του δημιουργεί προβλήματα) ισχυριζόμενος ότι είναι το κύριο πρόβλημα για όσα μαστίζουν τον κόσμο του bodybuilding!

Ο Ρίτσαρντς σε δημόσια δήλωση του επισήμανε ότι οι αθλητές, και οι προπονητές φοβούνται να μιλήσουν, διότι επικρέμαται κάποιου είδους τιμωρία ή ακόμη κίνδυνος να αποκλειστούν από τις διοργανώσεις. Όλα αυτά έρχονται μετά τις αποκαλύψεις της αμερικανικής εφημερίδας Washington Post για τους επικίνδυνους προπονητές, τις σεξουαλικές παρενοχλήσεις στην NPC, και την Pro League. O πρώην bodybuilder στην ανάρτηση του στην επίσημη σελίδα του στο Facebook, τονίζει «Μερικές φορές χρειάζεται μια επανάσταση για να επιτευχθεί μια λύση. «Ο Jim Manion πρέπει να φύγει!» Ενώ σε άλλο σημείο αναφέρει πως ο Jim Manion και οι κολλητοί του πιστεύουν πως θα ελέγχουν για πάντα την ομοσπονδία, έτσι «Έδιωξε πάρα πολλούς ταλαντούχους και έξυπνους ανθρώπους από τον κόσμο του bodybuilding που θα μπορούσαν να βοηθήσουν να περιβληθεί η εικόνα των bodybuilders και του bodybuilding στην mainstream κουλτούρα με θετικό τρόπο. Αντίθετα, έχουμε κομφορμιστές και ανθρώπους yes-man στα λεγόμενα μέσα ενημέρωσης του bodybuilding που δεν μπορούν να πουν ή δεν θα πουν την αλήθεια λόγω των επιπτώσεων».

Sometimes it takes a revolution to achieve a resolution. “Jim Manion must go!”

I have looked at every possible way to say this diplomatically but couldn’t find any other option!

JIM MANION must go!! He is cancer at the center of everything that plagues the world of Bodybuilding. Like every brutal narcissistic dictator that has ruled with an iron fist, he mercilessly uses tools such as intimidation, defamation, threats, hardship, banishment and destitution to get his way.

He mistakenly underestimates the will and potential of people when they decide that they have had enough. Jim Manion and his henchmen think that the gravy train is going to run forever.

He has banished too many talented and intelligent people from the world of bodybuilding who could have helped portray the image of bodybuilders and bodybuilding to the mainstream in a positive manner. Instead, we have conformists and yes-man in the so-called bodybuilding media that can’t tell or wouldn’t tell the truth because of the repercussions.

They can’t present the facts, or they face the consequences of his wrath: having their backstage access passes cancelled, depriving them of access to athletes for an interview and destroying their source of income.

Ruthless tactics such as these have forced even well-intended people to choose between conformity and abolishment. The results have been corruption, misinformation, misrepresentation, and mismanagement.

They asphyxiate the sport physically, mentally, and spiritually by withholding knowledge and information that could have saved lives while misrepresenting bodybuilding in the mainstream media with voices and images that don’t accurately or positively portray most of us in a positive light so that Jim Manion and his henchmen can continue to make profits!
